St. Laurent Blvd. and Innes Rd. Join us for our exciting Grand Opening of our second location at the corner of St. Laurent Blvd. and Innes Rd. On Friday, August 15th. You’ll hear the skirl of Highland bagpipes courtesy of the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band, see the graceful moves of the Highland dancers from Katharine Robinson’s School of Highland Dance. The rhythmic motion of the Irish dancers from the Sue Fay Healey School of Irish Dance, and some great live Celtic Music, and fantastic food courtesy of the Heart and Crown group of Pubs. We also will have Hot 89.9 providing an on-site remote between 11:00 am and 3:00pm with prizes and giveaways for many of the people that come by to join in the festivities. Several dignitaries will also be attending to perform the tartan ribbon cutting at approximately 2:00pm. We will have a first time event as Mayor Larry O’Brien will be wearing an O’Brien tartan kilt, so don’t miss this historical experience. Lisa MacLeod, the MPP for Nepean-Carleton, will also be present to provide her support. The East End Scottish and Irish Store will open its doors at 9:00am Friday morning, and close at 9:00pm that evening. The festivities will take place between noon and 4:00pm, so ensure that you make time on the 15th for an afternoon of great fun. Our East End location will carry the same wide range of products from Britain and Ireland, including Celtic jewellery, kilts and accessories, music, clothing and lots of great British and Irish foods.
